60AL characters in the front line is always a bad idea!
Repeat this mantra in your head until it sticks!
Just go pew, pew, pew with splinter and volley/barrage or go Spirit's strength with a shield and spear. You'll do a lot better that way and you monks will thank you for not being a silly squishy in the front lines.

Run ghost forge insignia (i think thats the one) and you have more like 75 + a shield, its more then a derv or a sin has. I wouldnt recomend it at anyrate, but spirits strenght + weapon of agression + sword.

You could allso just have a 'caster' sword, just for the looks.
If you really want to go sword just for fun. Maybe [resilient weapon] or [weapon of warding] can help you stay in the frontlines, fueling [spirit's strength] the same time.

THere really isn't any point to be running SS in the front lines. It'll end up with you taking more dmg than you should (Even with Ghost Forge!) and you'll be even more prone to enchant stripping makes your sword as useful as a nerf bat. Like I said, go midline with a zealous bow or a spear+shield set and you'll be a lot better off in the end.
